Submit your online application with a government-issued ID (i.e., passport).

Conditional offer

Receive a conditional offer decision immediately.

Upload documents

Upload your documents to the MPOWER dashboard, watch an intro video about loan features, and fill out the reference page.

Final approval

Receive a final approval once we validate your uploaded documents. Also, we will provide a free visa support letter via email if you need it.

Disbursement

Relax while your school certifies your enrollment status. (*This step is only required for U.S. schools). Once finished, we will send you the final loan documentation to sign and disburse your funds directly to the school accordingly.

Yes, we currently lend to students from more than 200 countries who attend one of the schools we support in the U.S. or Canada.

Though we are committed to assisting students around the world, certain restrictions prevent us from lending to citizens of a small number of countries. To see if you are eligible to apply, check your eligibility here!

We do not currently lend to students attending any schools outside of the U.S. or Canada.

MPOWER Loans can be used for all school education-related expenses, including, but not limited to: tuition, books, meal plans, housing, and health insurance when studying in the U.S. Please reach out to your school’s financial aid office if you plan to use the funds for anything other than tuition. Funds are sent directly to your school, so it is up to your school to provide the appropriate funds to you. Some schools may not accept funds for non-school approved items.

Because you must already be enrolled at an eligible school before your loan application can be approved, an MPOWER Student Loan can not be used to pay school application fees.

U.S. SCHOOLS
Upon final credit approval, MPOWER is able to issue support letters to assist our applicants with the visa process at no cost. The Support Letter should be provided to the school in order to receive the I-20.

To summarize, you must:
1. Receive acceptance to the school and apply for an MPOWER Student Loan
2. Receive the Support Letter from MPOWER following your loan’s approval and acceptance
3. Provide the Support Letter to the school and receive the I-20 form
4. Include the I-20 form in your visa application with the U.S. government

Note: You must provide MPOWER with the required immigration documentation before your loan can be disbursed.

CANADIAN SCHOOLS
Your MPOWER loan acceptance letter can help prove that you have enough funds to support your education.

To summarize, you must:
1. Receive acceptance to the school and apply for an MPOWER Student Loan
2. Receive your MPOWER loan acceptance document following your loan’s approval and acceptance
3. Include the loan acceptance letter in your visa application with the Canadian government

Note: You must provide MPOWER with the required immigration documentation before your loan can be disbursed.
